Hiking

A true paradise for nature lovers: the Villnöss Dolomite Valley. Countless hiking trails from leisurely valley walks to easy alpine hikes to adventurous family hikes and challenging summit tours, something for everyone.

The highlight of the Villnöss Valley is the Geisler Group, which forms the ridge between the Villnöss Valley and the Gardena Valley in South Tyrol and is mostly located in the Puez-Odle Nature Park. A true magic surrounds the mountain range. Anyone who has ever experienced the mountain glow on a cloudless September day will not soon forget this natural spectacle.

Climbing

The Eldorado for climbing enthusiasts - the Dolomites UNESCO World Heritage.

Each of the via ferratas is a unique experience with varying levels of difficulty. The strenuous ascent is rewarded with a magnificent and unique 360° panoramic view of the entire Alpine region. Beginners, however, should still be accompanied by a professional mountain guide or at least have an experienced mountaineer with them.

Our climbing recommendations

At the already mentioned Adolf-Munkel-path there is a picturesque climbing garden with about 50 difficulty routes from 3 to 8a. This is not the only climbing garden in Villnöss, there is also another climbing garden at the Würzjoch, it is located directly below the Peitlerkofel.

  • Peitlerkofel - easy - approx. 5-6 hrs.
  • Günther-Messner Steig - easy via ferrata/challenging hike - approx. 7-8 hrs.
  • Sass Rigais - demanding via ferrata - approx. 6-7 hrs.
  • Piz Duleda - medium/challenging via ferrata - approx. 6-7 hrs.
